Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Tutel AI (“Tutel,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website and app, how we use it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email support@tutel.ai.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and stored only in hashed form.
- Profile details: your role, company, industry, what you sell, who you sell to, typical deal size and sales cycle, and similar context you choose to add so practice buyers fit your work.
- Practice content: prep sheets, session notes and anything you type or say during a practice call.
- Files you upload: for example, a call recording you upload to your account.
- Team details: if you create or join a team, the team name, industry, size, seats, roles and practice assignments.
- Messages: emails to support, questions you send through Sage, and demo requests from our website (name, work email, company, role, team size, industry and your message).
- Billing details: when paid plans begin, payments will be handled by our payment processor. We will not store full card numbers.
Information created when you use Tutel
- Transcripts: a written record of each practice call.
- Scores and feedback: skill scores, competency ratings, coaching notes and your progress over time.
- Usage records: practice minutes used and counts of requests to our AI features, which we use to apply fair-use limits.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type and error reports that our hosting and database providers keep for security and reliability.
What we don’t collect
- No recordings of your live practice calls. Your voice is streamed for real-time transcription and is not saved as an audio file by Tutel.
- No video of you. If you turn on your camera during a call, the picture stays in your browser as a self-view. It is not sent to us or analyzed.
- No biometric data. We do not create facial geometry, voiceprints or similar identifiers.
- No advertising trackers. Our website and app don’t use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
How we use information
- To run your practice calls: generating a buyer that fits your profile, responding in real time, and transcribing what you say.
- To score calls and write feedback, and to show your progress over time.
- To run team features, such as dashboards, assignments and reports for your team’s owner and managers.
- To send account emails, such as sign-in links, password resets and, later, billing notices.
- To answer support questions and demo requests.
- To keep Tutel secure and fair to use, including usage limits and preventing abuse.
- To improve Tutel, using aggregated or de-identified information.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to train AI models.
AI and automated feedback
Tutel uses AI models to play the buyer in practice calls and to score and coach your performance. Scores and feedback are produced automatically from the call transcript and your profile. They are meant to help you practice, and they are not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
AI can make mistakes. If a score or piece of feedback looks wrong, tell us and we’ll look into it. If you’re on a team, your results are visible to your team’s owner and managers; we encourage teams to use them for coaching, not as the only basis for employment decisions.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Tutel, and only what each one needs:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, file storage and sign-in |
| Vercel | Website and app hosting |
| Anthropic | AI models that play the buyer, score calls and power Sage |
| ElevenLabs | The buyer’s voice and real-time transcription of your speech |
| Simli | The buyer’s animated video face |
| Resend | Sending account and support emails |
| Stripe (when paid plans begin) | Payment processing |
We may also share information:
- Within your team: if you join a team, its owner and managers can see your practice results and assignments.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or Tutel.
- In a business transfer: if Tutel is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under this policy’s protections.
- With your permission: in any other case, only if you ask us to.
How long we keep information
We keep your account, profile, transcripts, scores and uploaded files for as long as your account is open, so you can review your history. When you delete your account, we delete that information from our systems. Copies may remain in routine backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.
We keep demo requests and support emails as long as needed to respond and follow up, then delete them when no longer needed. We may keep limited records longer if the law requires it, for example billing records once paid plans begin.
How we protect information
- All traffic to Tutel uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and our providers encrypt stored data.
- Database rules limit each person to their own data, with team access only for owners and managers of that team.
- Sensitive operations such as saving scores run on our servers, not in your browser.
- Fair-use limits on our AI features protect against abuse.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- See and update your information in your profile at any time.
- Delete your account from your profile. This deletes your profile, practice history, scores and uploaded files.
- Get a copy of your data by emailing us. We’ll send it in a common format.
- Ask questions or make other requests about your information by emailing us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to appeal a decision about your request. California residents have the right to know what we collect, to delete and correct it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, email support@tutel.ai. We may need to verify your identity first.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to make the app work. We don’t use advertising or third-party analytics cookies, so there’s nothing to opt out of. If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this policy first.
Children
Tutel is for professionals aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Where information is processed
Tutel is operated from the United States, and our providers process information in the United States and other countries. When information is transferred internationally, we rely on our providers’ safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll email account holders and update the date at the top of this page before the changes take effect.
